Envision Freedom Fund operates an immigration bond fund to secure the freedom of community members caged by ICE. Since November 2018, we have paid more than $5 million in immigration bond to free over 600 community members from ICE detention. From 2015-2019, Envision Freedom Fund, then known as Brooklyn Community Bail fund, operated a bail fund that secured the pretrial freedom of nearly 5,000 New Yorkers charged with criminal misdemeanors. We ceased operating a revolving bail fund on January 1, 2020 and no longer pay bail.
